Dahlia Chat Noir is a beautiful variety with a deep, dark burgundy colouring. This large-flowering cactus dahlia is quite impressive and will blend well with many other popular dahlia favourites. Each plant produces a mass of flowers from July-September, growing to heights of 100-110cm. The versatility of these Dahlias makes them ideal for growing in either borders or in pots around the patio. They are also ideal for cut flowers for indoor displays.

Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
