Pink Flag is a tulip variety with neatly formed cup-shaped blooms, creating a sophisticated, clean-cut look. Each flower stands on a grey-green stem, adorned with matching lance-shaped foliage. This soft and feminine tulip goes wonderfully with other tulips in similar pink shades, and also looks great when planted with deep purple tulips - creating a contrasting combination of pastel sweetness and dark mystery. If you really like light pink and lilac shades, you could have a look at our specially selected tulips of pastel colours for a perfectly complementary display. - Pruning Remove faded flowers, leave the stem and foliage until they have turned yellow/brown.
Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist and plant your bulbs at twice their depth and spaced apart by 10-15cm. Ensure they are properly covered, you should not be able to see them on the surface of the soil. Position in an area that you know receives plenty of sunlight but is also sheltered from harsh winds. Deadhead the flowers once they wilt, encouraging a healthier plant.
