Tulip Honky Tonk is a unique and unusual tulip from the classic varieties you often see around spring. This small bloom produces triangular petals from mid-late spring, in shades of pale pastel yellow. Growing to just heights of 20-25cm, this variety is perfect for growing at the front of the border or container due to its short stature.

- Planting Plant 8-10cm deep and approx 15cm apart.
- Soil Type Well drained, fertile soil.
- Pruning Remove faded flowers, leave the stem and foliage until they have turned yellow/brown.
Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist and plant your bulbs at twice their depth and spaced apart by 10-15cm. Ensure they are properly covered, you should not be able to see them on the surface of the soil. Position in an area that you know receives plenty of sunlight but is also sheltered from harsh winds. Deadhead the flowers once they wilt, encouraging a healthier plant.
