  • Herald is an early-flowering crocus cultivar producing bright yellow flowers with orange stigmas. Its flowering period runs from February to March, with blooms lasting approximately three weeks. Plants grow up to 10 cm tall from 6/7 cm bulbs. Suitable for naturalising in well-drained soils with full sun to partial shade, it is hardy in UK climates (RHS H7). Commonly used in lawns, borders and rockeries, it also provides an important early nectar source for pollinators.
