Acanthus mollis is a colourful perennial that produces white flowers on spires of purple and green foliage at a height of 1.5m. A hardy variety, the flowers begin to bloom in summer to provide a showy display that brightens up garden borders and containers. The spires can also be cut and used to add interest to floral displays to be enjoyed indoors.
