Hydrangea serrata 'Bluebird' is a compact, deciduous lacecap shrub with delicate blue fertile flowers surrounded by larger pale blue to pale pink florets, complemented by foliage that turns attractive red shades in autumn. Flowers appear from early summer into early autumn. Reaching 0.5-1m tall with a spread of 0.5-1m, this Hydrangea thrives in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade and is hardy in most parts of the UK. Ideal for borders, containers, and woodland-edge plantings.
