Brussels Sprout Long Island Improved is a semi-dwarf variety that will produce sprouts for a long amount of time. These plants will grow up to 60cm tall. Perfect for growing in an allotment or kitchen garden.

Start indoors for an early crop, preferably as soon as possible (Feb onwards). However, they can be grown directly outside after threat of frost has passed. Keep soil moist during germination, and ensure the soil is also well-drained. Pick from the bottom up when heads mature. Ensure you do not grow these plants in the same areas that other members of the cabbage family were grown the year previous.
