Beetroot Chioggia is an Italian Heirloom variety. Their ball-shaped roots are light red in colour instead of the usual beetroot. Once sliced, their flesh creates a contrasting dark pink and white alternating rings effect, as well as a mild flavour. Appears quite early on in the season, thriving in almost any soil and situation. Can be sown from March to July, allowing a harvest in roughly 8-10 weeks.
