Fargesia nitida Black Pearl

Also known as the Hardy Fountain Bamboo, this variety produces large upright canes that start green but change to a very deep purple. This is an upright and draping plant that initially emerges deep red and straight, but darkens and arches. Looks great as an individual specimen or planted at 1m-2m intervals for an evergreen screen.
