Papaver Commutatum Poppy Ladybird is a superb award-winning bloom, winning the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit for its reliability in the garden. It's highly unique from a common poppy, although similar in colour. Within each cup, you'll find four opposing spots, giving it a lady-bird look that intrigues in the garden. Perfect for containers and flower beds.

Sow thinly over soil in a sunny location. Make sure the soil is well-drained. These seeds need the winter cold to break its natural dormancy, so you can grow these in the early spring. They will not thrive if they're sown directly to established areas of grass, so make sure they're grown in areas of soil that have been recently disturbed, like a flower bed. Seeds will germinate in early spring as the soil warms.
