Aster novi-belgii Red is a striking crimson variety that produces ruffled blooms from September to October. Asters are a perfect option for any garden display, and the novi-belgii Red will provide vivid red blooms that will look amazing when planted en-masse through beds, borders, or in containers. Height 40-50cm. Loose root supplied.

Plant in dappled or partially shaded areas in the garden. Can be grown in containers, but make sure to space out well so that they don't fall victim to powdery mildew. This Aster is supplied as a first grade loose root. It's frost hardy, so can be planted directly into the border over winter to appear the following spring. However, if planted in containers, put under cover over the wintery months. To grow loose roots, firstly soak them in water for 2-3 hours. If planting out into its final position, dig a hole that holds the root and cover with soil. If it has a noticable crown, leave this just slightly poking through the soil. Water well through the season and deadhead regularly to keep looking fresh!
