Lettuce Little Gem is one of the UKs most coveted lettuces, grown by gardeners across the country. This compact lettuce can even be grown in containers as well as open ground. Sow indoors from February to April or directly outside from April to August. Can be harvested from June to October.

- Planting Plant 1/8 inches below soil level and space 10-15cm apart
- Soil Type Moist, fertile soil
- Pruning Thin out first leaves, and do so until they are about 12 inches apart.
Will take on average 7-10 days to germinate. Plant 1/8 inches below soil surface level and space 10-15cm apart, especially when growing in rows. Position in partial sun for the best results. Lettuce is hardy and can be planted as soon as the soil can be worked. Cover the seeds lightly with fine soil, and press the soil gently. Thin young seedlings to separate pots once they're about 5cm tall.
