Erigeron karvinskianus is a mixed colour flowering variety of the glaucous-leaved fleabane. Due to its preference of free draining soil and low growing habit, this hardy perennial is ideal for use in gravel or alpine gardens. As with other Erigeron, this variety self seeds freely, and you will often find it thriving where most plants struggle, such as walls and garden paths. An approved RHS plant for pollinators, Erigeron karvinskianus will attract bees en masse, and it's not uncommon to see a constant stream of them coming to feed on the daisy like flowers, all through the summer months.

Deadhead regularly to encourage further growth spurts. Will tolerate full sun and partially shaded areas. Plant on arrival in well drained, prepared soil. Add a little bit of organic matter when planting and protect from strong winds. To plant them in the border, dig a hole in the border thats big enough to house the entire root ball. Do this until the top of the soil from the module is just below the top of the pot. Fill around the modules with soil and firm them down gently. To plant them within a wall, find an opening and pack it halfway with soil. Then, take the module and pop it in the hole, making sure it's sturdy by packing soil around it. Water well.
