Dahlia Saint Martin is a bicoloured bloom that features shades of light and dark pink on cream white petals. The base of the top petals can show a tiny hint of yellow, too. Unique and superb, this waterlily dahlia is quite open and can add interest to the summer garden with ease.

Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
