• Planting Plant three to four times the depth of the bulb.
• Soil Type Rich, free draining soil.
• Pruning Cut off the scape so the energy is diverted back into increasing the size of the bulb.

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil at approx 10cm apart and at a depth of roughly 3-4 times the size of the bulb. Larger bulbs should be spaced 20cm apart. Leave untouched for a number of years until the bulbs have multiplied and divide if necessary. Smaller alliums can be grown in containers, but ensure it's large enough to space the bulbs an appropriate distance apart.
