  • Allium paradoxum var. normale is a bulbous perennial producing white, bell-shaped flowers on upright stems, typically lacking the sterile bulbils of the type species. Flowering from April to June, it can reach a mature height of around 50 cm. Grown from 5cm+ bulbs. Narrow, glossy green foliage appears in early spring and dies back after flowering. Thrives in moist but well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade. Hardy in UK climates (RHS H6). Well-suited for naturalising in light woodland, shaded borders and wild areas.
