Aconitum Arendsii, also known as Monkshood, produces intense blue flowers from late summer and in to autumn. Growing up to 1.5 metres, they are ideal for a mid or back of the border position, or in containers. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and Plants for Pollinators.

All parts of Aconitum are highly toxic. Please wear gloves when handling. Do not ingest, or touch with bare hands.

Water generously throughout warm weather. Grow in well-drained soil in patio pots or bedding displays. Find a nice sunny spot where these beauties can thrive. Ensure that the weather is warm enough for Geraniums to grow, planting them outside in mid-spring to ensure cold weather is at bay. Plant indoors 2 to 4 weeks before growing outside, gradually acclimatising them a week before planting them out to get them used to the temperature outside. You can also store them before planting, by popping them in a paper bag or cardboard box somewhere cool and dry.
