Apple Ellison's Orange produces soft juicy fruits. Unlike its parent, Ellison's Orange has good disease resistance and is partially self-fertile. This reliable variety holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and deservedly so. It will grow up to 3m but can be pruned annually to keep at a more manageable height, or for a slightly less vigorous bush can be grown in a large container, perfect for the patio. We supply hardy two-year-old trees grafted onto dwarf root stock called M26.

Planting & Growing Instructions
Apple trees are suitable for planting in most types of moderately fertile, well drained soil, although they do not like acid soil. If possible prepare the ground some time in advance of planting. Open out holes and plant with enough space to accommodate the roots without cramping them. Plant in a sunny location as they do not prosper too well in the shade. Make sure that you plant with a stake, as this will be needed for at least five years to help support the tree. Begin weed control prior to planting and keep a clean ring around the plant (with a radius of approx 24inches
Cultural Instructions
Young trees must be watered thoroughly and sprinkle with fertilizer each spring. You can also mulch in April with rotted manure or compost around the base of the trunk. They should be planted in well sheltered locations. They will blossom and flower in Spring and fruit is normally ready to be picked throughout Autumn.
