  • Native to the Mediterranean, this clump-forming, herbaceous perennial produces showy violet flowers April to May.Reaching mature heights of 30cm they are ideal for borders and rockeries. Preferably planted in the UK during mid to late summer for flowering the following spring.The leaves die back after flowering. This is a good plant for adding texture and colour in a container, a moist woodland, or a rock garden.The flowers are excellent for vase displays. 4/5cm bulbs supplied.
