An edible thistle like plant, similar to an Artichoke. Spiky silver-grey foliage with vibrant purple flower heads up to 8cm in diameter from early summer to early autumn. A giant back of border plant. Ht. 1.5m. Spread 1.4m. First grade loose roots supplied.
