Plant bulbs at least 10cm deep in autumn. It is best to have soil that is fertile and humus rich, and make sure there is good drainage as well drained soil is necessary.

They are suitable for naturalising and can be grown in clumps near trees, deciduous shrubs or in a rock garden. They are fully hardy plants and it is often recommended that you take precautions to avoid damage from slugs or pests.
